Baked Ham with Mustard

Ingredients for Baked Ham:

 

1 boneless skinless ham 10 - 14 pounds

( you can also use a semi boneless ham but it will be trickier to slice )

Whole cloves

1 cup light brown sugar

1/4 cup yellow mustard

4 ounces pineapple juice

12 ounces of beer

Directions for Baked Ham

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 2 hours 15 minutes

Serves 8 - 10

There will plenty left for those late night ham sandwiches

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Score top of ham both horizontally and vertically with a sharp knife . Make the cuts about 1/2 inch deep. Top of boneless ham should look like it has squares all over the top. Poke a whole clove into each square.

Place ham in a roasting pan and  pour 4 ounces of beer over ham. Pour directly into cuts.

Bake approximately 30 minutes, pour 4 more ounces of beer onto ham.

Mix the brown sugar, mustard and pineapple juice in a bowl, creating ham glaze. It should be thick almost like a paste

After 90  total minutes of cooking spread  brown sugar, mustard glaze evenly over ham. Bake for another 30 minutes.

Let stand 20 minutes before slicing.

Remove cloves before slicing.

If you follow these directions your baked ham with brown sugar glaze should be tender enough to cut with a fork once sliced.
