A Beef Kabob recipe. An easy method for grilling beef kabobs with onions and peppers. Beef Kabobs on skewers is a great party favorite!
Beef Kabob Recipe Ingredients
1 1/2 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut 1-inch thick
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon each fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons brown mustard
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 medium green or red pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 onion quartered and separated into slices
Four skewers (if using wood soak them for thirty minutes) I prefer metal skewers.
Beef Kabob Recipe DirectionsCut beef steak into 1-inch kabob pieces. Mix together oil, lemon juice, mustard, honey, oregano and pepper in bowl; add beef, peppers and onions, stirring to coat. Alternately thread pieces of beef, pepper and onion slices on each of four kabob skewers. Place kabobs on preheated grill so meat is 3 to 4 inches from heat. If grill is unadjustable you may need to turn up or down heat accordingly. Grill ten minutes for medium rare, turn occasionally.
If you like your beef cooked more than medium rare you may want to grill your beef cubes to medium rare before placing on skewers.
Season with chefs salt if desired. In winter you may broil in oven.
